The third edition of Fortune Heights Super Nations Cup started yesterday, 2nd October, at the prestigious Tianjin Goldin Metropolitan Polo Club in China. This tournament is one of the most important high goal polo tournaments in China, in which four countries compete with each other: Hong Kong–China, USA, Argentina and England.

Yesterday, team Hong Kong–China faced USA polo team and managed to win the match by a large margin of 13-6. It was a very quick and closely-fought match, which saw team Hong Kong–China score enough goals in the last two chukkers as to comfortably win the match and get the first victory of the tournament.

The tournament will continue until Sunday, October 5th. Hong Kong China’s victory will see them advance to Sunday’s grand final to play either England or Argentina; USA will be fighting for third place in the subsidiary final on Saturday.

With any doubt, yesterday was a perfect start for a tournament that, year after year, shows the rapid development of China in the international polo scene.
