The Singapore Open 2015 returned to the Singapore Polo Club from 19th to 24th May 2015. TATA Communications returned as the title sponsor of this prestigious tournament for the fourth consecutive year.

The eagerly awaited final match of the Singapore Open 2015, which saw the teams Head Hunters / Elevation (led by Satinder Garcha) and K2 Polo Nirvana (led by Vinor Kumar), was a fierce battle from start to finish. Both teams showed their sheer determination, as the riders and ponies jostled for the upper hand for a very close finish. In the end, team Head Hunters/Elevation, consisting of Sattar Khan (+4), Manuel Carrenza (+4), Satinder Garcha (+2) as well as Yeo Kuo Lee (0) and Keith Yeo (0) sharing one position, won by 6-5 and took the trophy home.

Waqus Khan (+4) of K2 Polo Nirvana received the award as Most Valuable Player. Claudia, belonging to Yeo Kuo Lee, was named Best Playing Pony and Lambada, belonging to Asa Jumabhoy, was the Best Turnout Pony.

The Singapore Open 2015 is the last of the “Triple Crown Series” organized at the Singapore Polo Club. The first took place in March with the Diplomats’ Cup, followed by the second in April with the International ProAm and these have grown into the most important tournament of the season.

Mr. Satinder Gatcha, Captain of Head Hunters / Elevation: “It was a good game! It feels good to win, especially since it’s the first time a Triple Crown was ever won in Singapore. However, if we had lost, we would be happy as both teams played extremely well. We changed the strategy towards the end and we are glad it worked!”

Mr. Vinod Kumar, Captain of K2 Polo Nirvana: “The game was real close, it could have been won by either team. In the last 15 seconds, there was an opportunity and the other team used it to score their final goal. It could have been anyone’s game today. Congratulations to the winning team! It was well played. They have a strong team, they pulled off a good fight and they played well.”
