Team Hato wins the Luxury Trophy 2017 at Polo Park & Country Club Zürich which was played from September 2-3 with two leagues and seven teams. Although Saturday games were cancelled due to poor weather conditions, the Medium Goal teams hit 40 and 60-yard penalties to qualify for Sunday games, which was promising to be a fantastic day. On Sunday, the first match was between Nespresso and Champagne Jacquart which saw the victory of Nespresso by a short half-a-goal victory despite a difficult start of the game for Nespresso. The final was played between Hato and Kensington with Hato winning the tournament by a 1-goal margin. Martin Podesta of team Hato won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award.

The weather was extremely sunny and pleasant. The matches and games were surrounded by a friendly atmosphere and good mood brought by the “Gourmet Promenade” that took place by the field. Players, families, friends, invitees, VIPs and neighbours could enjoy the day from the morning till late in the evening. At the Gourmet Promenade people could delight themselves by having a snack at Krispy Kröst, eating an Argentinian empanada at Gaucho Gonzalez, having grilled salmon and sausages at Flor de Fuego, salads, soups and juices from James Jar & Co, or Sushi from Hato, one of the most important restaurants of Asian food in Zürich, and voted by Gault et Millau the third best Asian restaurant in Switzerland.

There was also a corner for drinks: Spada, Champagne Jacquard and Nespresso, beers from Feldschlössen, whisky and schnapps from Macardo, wine from Bolle, and of course, ice cream from Leonardo for dessert. Many sponsors also had stands, such as the protective eyeware company Unico Graber, Performance Polo, Kensington Real Estate, fitness centre Holmes Place, and lifestyle brand Rubirosa amongst others. In a few words: despite the terrible weather the days before, players and guests had a wonderful tournament amidst much cheering, laughter and wonderful atmosphere.
