The Valartis Bank Snow Polo World Cup Kitzbühel 2015 is about to begin and the horses have arrived for the most part in Kitzbühel to get ready for the first match on Friday, starting at 12pm. But there still is one question, which has to be clarified: Will Stefan Proietti of the Valartis Bank Team be able to play?

The attacking player had suffered an injury to his right hand this past week kick boxing. The team will be supported by the Swiss Andreas Bihrer, who will act as a rotation player. Other members of the team are Team Captain Tito Gaudenzi and Mathias Vial from Chile, who is making his debut this year at the Valartis Bank Snow Polo World Cup Kitzbühel.

Tito Gaudenzi: “Its always hard when someone in your team gets injured, even more so if it’s a key player such as Stefan. He has been part of this squad for four years now. Regardless I am very confident in this year’s team, in Vial we have a great playmaker that will bring a new dynamic to our line up. I was fortunate to play with him this past year in Baku, Azerbaijan.”

Earlier this week another change had been announced: Mathias Maiquez will be replacing Sylvio Coutinho for the KCC / Transgourmet Team.

The 2015 event kick off will commence with the team presentation on Thursday evening, 15th January, in front of the Hotel zur Tenne in the heart of Kitzbühel.
