The teams Valiente, Lechuza Caracas, Alegria and Crab Orchard have made it to the semifinal and will play tomorrow at the International Polo Club Palm Beach for the entry in the final of the 110th Maserati U.S. Open Polo Championship.

After Valiente and Alegria confirmed as semifinalists early, Lechuza Caracas and Crab Orchard also achieved on Sunday a a place among the top four.

Peke Gonzalez, Magoo Laprida, Facundo Pieres, Paco de Narvaez of team Crab Orchard made it really exciting in their quarterfinal against team Audi. Until the end the match was still open. Only a few minutes were left to play when Facundo Pieres gained the lead for his team through a goal. The foursome protected their lead to time and went from the polo field winning 13-12. Tomorrow at 3 p.m. (local time) Crab Orchard faces Julian Mannix, Clemente Zavaleta Jr., Mariano Aguerre and Hilario Ulloa of team Alegria in the semifinal.

The teams Lechuza Caracas and Valiente already meet at 1 p.m. (local time). In the quarterfinals Victor Vargas, Nico Pieres, Juan Martin Nero and Nico Espain of Lechuza Caracas defeated team Coca-Cola by 12-7 and sent them back home. Tomorrow in the semifinal they have to face the extremely strong rival Valiente (Bob Jornayvaz, Santi Torres, Sapo Caset and Adolfo Cambiaso). Valiente directly qualified for semifinals because they had won three matches.

The final of the U.S. Open Polo Championship will be played on Sunday, 20th April at 3 p.m. (local time).

The USPA U.S. Open Polo Championship are played since 1904. The first tournament was played at Van Cortland park in New York. Since 2004, the prestigious tournament is held at the International Polo Club Palm Beach.
