Tim Vaux (+4), Richard Blake Thomas (+4) and Jamie Le Hardy (+7) of team Joules are the winners of the sixth Veuve Clicquot Polo on the Beach 2012. The trio shot nine goals – six from Jamie Le Hardy – and took the lead to defeat the defending champion First Great Western with Andy Burgess (+2), Andrew Blake Thomas (+5) and James Harper (+7).

Team Joules took the lead early. In the second chukka First Great Western stroke back – with only a short effect. At the end of the third chukka Joules had earned a lead of 7:4,5 team First Great Western only found its old strength in the last chukka – but it was too late. At the end of the game team Joules led with 9:6,5.

Most valuable player became the 7-scorer Jamie Le Hardy (team Joules).

Jamie Le Hardy (team Joules): “It was a really nice open game, everyone played really well. We were lucky they missed a few goals in the second chukka, and apart from that it was pretty even really, a good game of polo.”
