The ultimate wine country summer soiree took place on July 25th at the 12th Annual Stick & Ball Oyster Cup Polo Tournament held at Cerro Pampa Polo Club. The presenting sponsor, Stick & Ball, an equestrian inspired, luxury apparel brand, welcomed guests to the rolling hills of Petaluma for an impeccable charity polo match featuring regional and international polo players such as Pat Nesbitt of Santa Barbara, Circuit Governor of the U.S. Polo Association, Christian Toraldo of Colorado, Senior Vice President of Sales of Inspirato, and Toto Socas and Ignacio DelTour, professional polo players from Argentina. The event drew VIP guests from around the world and featured a spectacular menu of “Wine country meets the Argentine Pampas”.
What started out over a decade ago as a small group of friends and family enjoying oysters field-side while watching country style polo, has grown into a San Francisco Bay Area social highlight of the season. Proceeds of over $10,000 from the event this year will be donated to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The event was directed by Jenn Hagan Fine Events and Unique Experiences.
Highlights included: Domaine Carneros Divot Stomp, Tesla VIP Experience with a drive in the latest S model car, Inspirato VIP Lounge, Silent Frisco headset supplied afterparty on the polo field, the club’s first ever Pee Wee Polo match, shopping at field side pop up shops by luxury apparel lines Stick & Ball, 7 on Locust and Tempest + Bentley.
The polo teams, made up of players from the San Francisco Bay Area down to Argentina, were sponsored by Stick & Ball, Bespoke Collection, Tesla, Domaine Carneros, Cultivar Wine and Bodega Argento. The tournament hosted two days of matches with finals culminating on Saturday. The Bespoke Collection polo team of Napa Valley took home the 2015 Oyster Cup with a win over team Tesla.
