Special features

The Rhein Polo Club Düsseldorf e.V. is the largest and most successful polo club in North Rhine-Westphalia. This club is aimed to put the sportive aspect of polo in the center of attention and want to make polo accessible for everybody. The club is launched in Gut Hülsdonk in Willich, which tradition goes back to the 13 century. The former tower was later used as an agricultural enterprise. Today the bilding contains club rooms, training and lead facilities, over 130 horse boxes, fields and one sports ground with two polo fields. The Rhein Polo Club Düsseldorf e.V. is located in the center of the industrial area around Düsseldorf, Krefeld, Viersen, Mönchengladbach and Neuss. With its 23 active polo players – stated on the nationwide handicap list – and about 5 Argentine professionals the club belongs to the biggest 25 German Polo Clubs. The tournaments of the Rhein Polo Club Düsseldorf are honored in Europe and therefore the club is a meeting point for many internatioal amateur and professional players. Beyond the tournament weekend, from April to October the club is a popular destination for watching club-chukker.
