The first “Polo Under the Stars” event at the Apes Hill Polo Club in Barbados was a huge success. The event was completely sold out with a crowd that varied from VIP Marquee down to Party Lounge, spending the night enjoying two polo matches, an international DJ from Ibiza and a special performance from the British vocal group BLAKE.
The first match was a 2-goal competition and was followed by the main match being a 10-goal polo game. International players included Jamie La Hardy, Oliver Taylor, Gaston Diverent and a few more.
Plans for next year’s event are already underway with the intention of turning Apes Hill Polo Club into the home of night polo. Next year’s event will consist of a 4-team entry and will extend over a long weekend.
