POLO+10 is glad to announce the new media partnership with the South African Polo Association (SAPA). For nearly 150 years, polo is played in South Africa. The first documented match took place in October 1874 and the South African Polo Association was founded in 1906. Today South Africa is one of the most popular polo destinations in the world.
38 clubs and 450 players are members in the South African Polo Association. Five polo provinces are affiliated to the association: Highveld, East Griqualand, KwaZulu Natal, Free State and the Cape. Among the best polo players of South Africa are Ignatius du Plessis (+8), Jean du Plessis (+7), Tom de Bruin (+7), Buster Mackenzie (+6) and Gareth Evans (+6).
As a media partner, POLO+10 will be supporting the development of the sport of polo in South Africa and in the future will be reporting about the tournaments, the players and the proceedings of polo in South Africa more intensely.
