July 23, 2016 the Moscow Polo Club will host the second Russian-French Polo Tournament – Coupe Franco-Russe. After a successful inaugural tournament, a team from Polo Club de Chantilly will be invited again to play a challenge match. This international event has an exciting level of play, which makes for an excellent spectacle and beautiful goals. The tournament is without a doubt one of the highlights of the Russian polo season.
Chantilly, located 50 kilometers from Paris, is considered the “equestrian capital” of France: the French team is training in the local polo club opened 20 years ago, and in 2004 the World Cup Polo was organized on its fields.
The Polo Club de Chantilly team will consist of: Florent Garaud (handicap 3), Charlotte Garaud (0), Marceau Hue (0) and Alexander Garese (-1). The Moscow Polo Club team will be represented by: Gleb Fetisov (-2), the President of the Club Alexis Rodzianko (0), Alexander Patyutko (0) and the highest rated Russian player Misha Rodzianko (3).
While staying in Moscow French players will enjoy hospitality and beautiful views of the StandArt design-hotel – first Russian member of the Design Hotels collection. On Thursday evening the Players Dinner will take place in the hotel’s North-South restaurant with special menu from Angel Pascual, whose restaurants in Catalonia have earned two Michelin stars.
On Saturday guests will gather in a chic white marquee beside Moscow Polo Club’s field 1, and will be immersed in French elegance. Fine cuisine, wine and music will together create a unique and unforgettable atmosphere.
The event is supported by the StandArt design-hotel.
