Following a good start and taking the lead at the beginning of the match, the German national team sponsored by POLO+10 had difficulties to work as a team in the further course of the game. In the end Spain won by 5-3.

Moritz Gädeke: “At the beginning we had great fun and played fantastically. During the first chukka we played at least ten times as good as than Spain did. But after this we could not implement what we had discussed beforehand. We were not well positioned technically and did not play as a team. As always we gave our best. Actually, we played better and could have beaten Spain. But due to our own mistakes we gave the victory away. We have to say: we deserved to have lost the match. At this point I want to highlight the great achievement of our horses and the fantastic work done by our grooms. We want to thank all our grooms very very much for their untiring efforts and the always perfect preparation of the horses!”

Tomorrow at 11 am Moritz Gädeke (+3), Sven Schneider (+3), Caesar Crasemann (+1) and Peter Kienast (+1) will play their last match of the Championship against the Netherlands. That there is a good chance to beat the Dutchmen has been proven by the German team after their 7-6 victory on Tuesday.
