Habtoor Polo Team has won its second match in a row and thus qualified for the final of the 2nd edition of the Dubai Cup 2016 held at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club.

Habtoor Polo Team, consisting of Habtoor Al Habtoor, Justo Cuitiño, Marcos Panelo and Santiago Gómez Romero, defeated DPEC by 7-6.5 and will play the Dubai Cup final next Friday against Zedan.

In a great match, Habtoor Polo quickly reduced the DPEC 1.5 goal handicap advantage and controlled game during the first half. In the third chukka, DPEC, with Marco Focaccia and Gonzalo Yanzon leading the team, made a great comeback and put some suspense to match. Finally, in the last seven minutes, Marcos Panelo and Santiago Gómez Romero scored for Habtoor for the final 7-6.5 victory.

In the first match of the day, F4Z defeated Mahra by 6-5.5 in a very close game. Both teams will be again face to face next Friday for the subsidiary final of the Dubai Cup.

Dubai Gold Cup Series
