The Costa Careyes Polo Club in Mexico continues to celebrate exciting tournaments and spectacular parties during its current polo season. As every year, the Careyes Cup 2014-2015, which starts right after Christmas, gathered four teams formed by polo players from Mexico, Colombia and Peru. On his first visit to Careyes, Diego Aguilar brought a 10-goal team that included Guillermo Li (+5), Federico Uribe (+5) and Giorgio Brignone – founder and owner of the club – who competed against team Cobra de Monterrey, formed by Isaac Sepulveda, Sofia Landa and the brothers Pancho and Valerio Aguilar. Team Mcquilling / Careyes of Diego Aguilar, Brignone, Li and Uribe won the Cup with a final score of 9-8.5.

Once again Careyes organized the Giuliana Cup 2015, a women’s tournament played by ten players from Oregon, Washington State, California, Austria, Canada and Mexico. The two-day tournament saw team USA, formed by Debra Vermoch, MacKenzie Martin, Megan Rioux and Angela / Anabel Colterjohn beat team Careyes, formed by Maxime Moellhausen, Virginia Jones, Elizabeth Larvik, Gatsby Moellhausen and Lulu Ardissone, during the first day with a final result of 5-2. The second day saw team Careyes tie the game at 3-3 and, after the penalty shootout, team USA managed to win the Giuliana Cup.

The polo season continues at Careyes with an agenda full of tournaments: the Chinese New Year’s tournament in February, Arte Careyes Festival in March, the 15th edition of Copa Agua Alta and the 2nd Copa de Oro in April.
