The polo teams for the 15th CORUM Snow Polo World Cup in Kitzbühel are now officially confirmed. 120 horses and 18 polo players from seven nations promise high-quality chukkas on snow, fighting for the coveted trophy – the “CORUM Snow Polo World Cup”. Additionally in 2017 the event has a lot to offer in the matter of lifestyle and VIPs (team line-ups see below).

International starters and guests from all over the world meet from Thursday, 12th January on at the sophisticated winter sports resort Kitzbühel to experience top-class polo and Tyrolean lifestyle at its best in front of the backdrop of the “Wilder Kaiser”. Guests and players from Singapore, Malaysia, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, England, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, the USA, Nicaragua, Argentina, Ireland and Russia are expected to attend the event!

Such a top-class event as this of course will not missed by familiar faces known from politics, sports and lifestyle. A distinguished selection of renowned personalities, celebrities as well as members of important noble houses have announced themselves for the glamorous Players’ Night on Saturday evening, furthermore a few prominent polo fans will not miss out on the wintry white chukkas. And this is not for no reason: According to the two organisers, the Swiss Tito Gaudenzi, who lives in the USA, as well as Elmar Balster from Berlin, this year the tournament will be more grandiose than ever before – for example the guests awaits the biggest VIP tent in the 15-year history of the Snow Polo World Cup in Kitzbühel.

Tito Gaudenzi: “This year we will raise the tournament to a completely new level. In regard to sports as well as the class of the sponsors, the size of the VIP tent and the number of international celebrities. We will present the event in 2017 with a new quality and in a dimension. We are very happy and thankful about that.”

The polo spectacle traditionally starts its three-day competition with the presentation of the teams in front of the tradition-rich “Hotel Zur Tenne” in the heart of the historic district of Kitzbühel. Following the opening party at the Kitzbühel Club “Take Five”, the social highlight of the event will be the gala party held in “Tyrolean style” on Saturday evening, for which only a few remaining tickets are still available. The organisers can be more than proud of the renowned range of new sponsors, who will present themselves in Kitzbühel this year for the first time. For example in 2017 Maserati and CORUM will be part of the 15th CORUM Snow Polo World Cup for the first time. But also longstanding faithful partners of the Kitzbühel winter polo such as team sponsors Valartis Bank, Bernd Gruber, Corestate Capital and Engel & Völkers will be present and will be enthusiastically welcomed by the fans. Pernod-Ricard Austria with the champagne brand Perrier-Jouët and the Kitzbühel Country Club will once again also contribute to the glamorous performance of the Tyrolean snow chukkas.

The entrance to the public area is free. Here two “Austrian Airstream Food Trucks” and “The Coffee Gongola” from England will provide sustenance for the guests.
