The Hurlingham Polo Association has, with Audi’s support, brought another tournament to life – The Audi International Polo Series. Since 2005 Audi has been sponsoring the England Polo team, which, due to the new tournament series, will have even more chances to play against the best polo teams in the world. The Audi International Polo Series consists of three tournaments: on the 16th of June in Beaufort Polo Club in Tetbury, on the 22nd of July at the Guards Polo Club, and on the 8th of September at the Chester Racecource Polo Club in Chester. The Audi International Tournament in Guards Polo Club, formerly “Cartier International,” is one of the highlights of the British Polo Season.

The German Automaker, Audi, will also be supporting their British team at the Cowdray Park Polo Cup in Midhurst on the 19th of May at the St. Regis International Cup. There they will square off in a match against an American team.

“Audi and the HPA have been working very closely together for a long time. Audi’s dedicated participation in the International Series is a fantastic development for the sport of polo,” stated David Wood, Head Director of the HPA. Jon Zammet, Head of Public Relations for Audi Great Britain added, “It is a very interesting development. The sport of polo offers Audi a first-class audience. Additionally polo is a rapidly growing sport – which can be seen by the growing number of players and spectators. In the last ten years the number of british polo players has risen by a third, and the number of polo clubs has practically doubled.”
