Last year Alegría surprisingly made it to the final of the Argentine Open, this year La Dolfina and Ellerstina will face each other once again in tomorrow’s final match. It is a classic: from 2005 to 2012 both teams made it to the finals in Palermo for eight consecutive years. Only in 2013 this continuity came to a halt, when Alegría defeated Ellerstina and secured a place in the final. In spite of their great achievement in Tuesday’s match, Alegría was not able to repeat its success from last year and was defeated by Ellerstina by 17-13.

Therefore, La Dolfina and Ellerstina will meet once again tomorrow at 4.30 pm (local time). Since 2005, La Dolfina has won the Argentine Open six times, Ellerstina three times. Last year La Dolfina even won the Argentine Triple Crown. This year, La Dolfina has already won the Tortugas and Hurlingham Open and now faces the chance to win the Argentine Triple Crown for the second consecutive year.
